Looking for community support as you explore and grow your own unique way of bringing Focusing into the world? This space is open to new people that are already certified or already actively bringing Focusing into the world.
Our goal is for this to be a touchstone community for your journey toward holding space for change whether you are here as part of your certification path with TIFI or crossing these skills with something else you are already doing like coaching, therapy, body or energy work, etc.
Our schedule is primarily first Sunday mornings 11am - 12:30pm ET and third Monday evenings 7:30-9pm ET New York time of each month. We record all meetings if both times are not convenient for you.
This group is open to all Focusing students who have Focusing training from any trainer. This is a space for folks to land to practice Focusing and continue to keep it as part of their life. We practice using the skills we already know; no teaching is offered - just pairs for partnership at a reliable time and place. This is a drop-in group, no commitment required.
Join other Focusing professionals as we practice Focusing. Professional work grows from our personal practice, so let’s continue Focusing. This can also be a unique place for folks to Focus about their professional Focusing work with clients or students and work projects in general.

A Changes Group is a free-of-charge, peer-led group that meets so people can exchange Focusing and listening turns in an atmosphere of safety and mutual respect. It's a group for continuing your Focusing practice; no teaching will be done.
We meet on zoom twice per month. We have a centering/grounding practice to begin followed by a check in (usually in breakout rooms), followed by time for practice in groups of two or three. You can also chose to join an empathy circle if you'd like to observe or practice in a bigger group.

This class invites participants to attune to the resourcing possibilities of our spine and our spatial awareness to support connection to self & encourage movement from our core in everyday situations. We will tap into our spine's vertical connection to Earth and welcome an awareness of our spatial boundaries in other directions. We will then work with a situation in a Focusing way: Exploring body position as an indicator of our state, ask our body what it needs to support our boundaries, and invite a posture or movement as a response. There will be opportunities to sense inside and work with a partner or partners.

Throughout 2024, join us each Wednesday for a contemplative meditation crossing the Philosophies of Jiddu Krishnamurti and Eugene Gendlin. We meet every Wednesday from 1pm to 2pm EST/NY where we pause to contemplate the truth.
We move slowly through these meditations leaving space for pauses, reflections and focusing partnership interactions - any language and any level of Focusing proficiency is welcome into this space, or none at all.
These events are open and free to the public - each meditation is taken from Krishnamurti's Book of Life.
Smartview Conversations is a monthly online gathering to explore application of our Focusing skills to daily life and interactions. Our skill emphasis for 2024 is the Power of AND, how we hold our own space in relationship to others and how we hold space within us for both our right and left hemisphere's perspectives.
For December, Katarina will continue our body awareness exploration of the left and right sides of our body using Feldenkrais exercises. This is another opportunity to understand how we are wired.
These webinars are FREE to attend. Both experienced Focusers and people new to Focusing are welcome.

Las prácticas tutorizadas de focusing tienen por finalidad la práctica del focusing con asesoramiento para consolidar el conocimiento y el manejo del procedimiento e iniciar al alumnado a la facilitación de procesos de focusing como guía.

This is a 30-minute free webinar (with Ann Weiser Cornell) with warm, positive tips for emotional self-care in these challenging times. Each month is different as Ann responds to the present moment and whatever the group is bringing.
Our hope is that you’ll leave the webinar with a greater sense of resilience and some relief from the stressful feelings you might be having. And that you’ll know you are not alone.
In this Highlight, Barbara and Ann will share the fundamentals of their Untangling method: the five Powers of Presence and the way that developing these Powers enables the transformation of what’s impossibly stuck.
Some familiarity with Focusing is helpful, but no prior experience is required. All are welcome to attend and participate.

This class invites participants to explore the resourcing possibilities of five movements encountered in everyday living -- push, withdraw, reach, offer, and receive. Beginning with an upright spine and supple stance at the center, we will familiarize ourselves with these five movements to develop a sense of possibility and flow. We will then work with a situation in a Focusing way: Exploring body position as an indicator of our state, ask our body what it needs to complete the action, and invite a posture or movement as a response-- e.g. to be still and observe, prepare for a request, retreat, etc. We will slow down and allow time for fully unfolding transitions between postures and movement.
