This introduction (or equivalent) is a pre-requisite for the full 2-year London Focusing training but also serves as an excellent introduction to this natural body process.
Topics Covered. Working with creative expression and non-verbal communication. we will learn the basic listening skills of Children’s Focusing.
The central goal is to achieve authentic contact and open connection through simple, structured exercises designed to support the process of re-connection with yourself and to articulate ways to transfer this authenticity into your everyday life with children and your roles as a parent, grandparent, therapist, or teacher.
Most of us don’t struggle to know what we feel— we struggle to voice it. And, for a good reason! In this course, you'll learn to express yourself more freely and confidently, without pushing yourself to do so.
Do you want to find a way to accept your whole being
What about growing more genuine relationships in your life?
Maybe you would enjoy including your body as well as your emotions and thought processes in your decision making.
Are you looking for a way to deal with stress or inner conflicts?
Focusing helps with all of these and is a gift you can give to your whole being. You can start with effective little bits that build into a grounded ability to deal with what comes in your daily life.
Live 1-day workshop in Vienna, Austria:
When we’re stuck—unable to move forward in our lives—we are often caught in a “Tangle.” These recurring inner conflicts, paralysing patterns, or contradictory impulses aren’t just psychological phenomena; they are carried in our bodies as a frozen interruption of life. Untangling offers a different way to understand your stuckness—not as something permanently wrong with you or your life, but as a “stoppage” of life energy that can resume and flow again.
Art Club is a space where we go inward to express outward – through drawing, movement, writing, painting, or whatever feels right for you in the moment. Each session involves slowing down and noticing what you have inside that’s worth exploring. It’s a time dedicated for self reflection and self care. Come prepared to pause, listen, and allow your inner wisdom to unfold.
Some of us who hold trauma in our body may find that our body feels unavailable, silent, disconnected or even oversensitive when Focusing. That’s just our body and nervous system protecting us. With somatic healing practices you can support your Focusing and empower your body to speak and connect with you.
A four week course for Focusers new or experienced with informative sessions, discussions, somatic practices, felt sensing reflection and movement.

Learn Gendlin's classic 6 steps of Focusing in this interactive 2-hour workshop. There will be a Focusing demonstration. And you will have the opportunity to experience Focusing for a 20-minute turn, as well as a listening turn in breakout groups.

Our goal here is to return to the essence of Focusing and ourselves as living process. I ask that participants are Focusing weekly with a partner at least one month before class begins and throughout our time together. There is a lot of reading, often more than you might choose to do. We touch on a variety of approaches to learn and practice Focusing. We begin and end remembering that always that which has learned Focusing is Partiality, not Presence. My Part 4 is a great place to return to whenever you would like to go deeper with your process from wherever it is. Requires Part 3 or equivalent experience.
Meets 8 times on Monday evenings, 7-9pm ET.
Aging brings both challenges and opportunities, but it doesn’t have to feel like it’s all downhill from here. In fact, this chapter of life can be one of growth, connection, and newfound purpose.
You can develop a positive outlook on the future (and know how to be kinder to yourself when you can’t do that). Join us and get tools, wisdom, and support for every stage of the aging journey.
Children can only learn in a safe and accepting environment. During this professional day, we will explore how to create an atmosphere where children feel seen and heard, and where they are free to express their emotions. Through hands-on experiences, we will examine the many ways educators can support and nurture children’s inner experiences as they unfold.
The Children & Focusing Day is designed for Focusing-oriented professionals working with young children, or adults (parents, teachers, psychologists, caregivers, etc.) around children, and anyone interested in exploring the child within. The participants will have a chance to observe workshops in the classrooms and take part in discussions and presentations afterwards.
