We’ve been teaching Untangling® Retreats in 15 countries over the past 25 years, helping thousands of people learn our method, getting responses like this one from Paul Fitzgerald: "The experience was like a dissolving of an old way of seeing life and having new eyes to engage life with more freedom. I'd highly encourage anyone interested in deepening their Focusing to take this course."

At the heart of Whole Body Focusing (WBF) there is a dance of two, seemingly opposing, inner movements - the Embrace and the Stepping Back. In the Embrace you unconditionally accept your inner experience and in the Stepping Back you make room for an embodied sense of “Me” (Self in Presence), separate from your inner experience. The balance between these two movements is a fluid dance which creates a space inside your whole body in which Focusing can occur naturally.
This experiential webinar will give you an in-depth guidance in the practice of Unconditional Acceptance and in various ways of Stepping Back into the aliveness and vastness of “You” – described by Gendlin as the “different self that can be discovered …under all the packages each of us carries”.
This online entry level Focusing skills class prepares you to begin a Focusing partnership. Utilizing Inner Relationship Focusing and Neuroscience based exercises spread out over a few months, this is a great opportunity to ground yourself in the basics of Self-in-Presence as a way of being that creates space for lasting change. You are encouraged to practice both in partnerships and with brief pauses during your day.
For coaches, bodyworkers, therapists, teachers and anyone interested in improving their inner and outer relational skills. Part 1 meets six times for two hours, usually every other week. This class can be your first step toward professional certification by completing Parts 1-4, then entering the ongoing Learning Community for Mastery in Guiding Change.
Gendlin valued Clearing a Space very highly. How about you? Is Clearing a Space (CAS) a standard part of your own Focusing practice, or your teaching of Focusing? Or have you replaced it with something else – maybe an attunement? Join us to share what place CAS has in your Focusing practice – is it essential, optional, irrelevant or something else?
