Your Hosts
Where & When
You are invited to join us for the second meeting of our new theoretical thinking group. Our hope is that all those who love embodied thinking will form an international “TAE THINK TANK” to deepen, expand and carry forward our understandings of Focusing-Oriented Therapy processes. Each month we come together to listen, wonder and think from our felt sense at the edge of a theoretical concept or question that one of us brings to explore. We welcome those in the Focusing community who are drawn to creative, living theory who wish to think freshly from experience, and to co-create new understandings in community. Rather than seeking agreement, we honor diversity of thought, deep listening and the courage to stay with what’s not yet clear.
This month we will focus on Katerina Halm’s subject.
Felt Sense Formation via Inhibition & Encouragement:
An experiential crossing of Eugene Gendlin and
Moshé Feldenkrais informed by Jan Winhall
We will consider what happens in that moment just before Focusing deepens. Experiential explorations will be o"ered in light of the following three models, bringing coherence to our study and discussion:
· Felt Sense Formation and Perfect Feedback Object - Eugene Gendlin
· Inhibition & Encouragement - Moshé Feldenkrais
· Focusing as 'Intervening Variable' - Jan Winhall
