So, in this Roundtable, we’ve decided to explore action steps or “what comes after the Ah-ha experience.”

Focusing can be puzzling to talk about. It can be hard to learn from a book or a video. But when someone is actually taken through the process, you get it! Be present to observe as Ann guides three first-time Focusers (one each week) - and then comment afterward. The guest Focusers are volunteers who understand that their session will be witnessed by a safe and respectful group of people.

We explore and practice the basic ideas of Focusing: felt sensing, embodied experience, active listening, the six steps, and "parts" (a linguistic trope that helps us hold attention on unclear or uncomfortable aspects of our experiencing).

This section of the course is for beginners, or anyone seeking a refresher. The emphasis is on the skills and practice of Experiential Focusing. There will likely be a mix of experienced and novice students. From here, a student can continue on with the certification program, or join a CHANGES group, or join a part of the course cycle that appeals to them when the time comes around.

a special voice, only oneself can hear, leads to the source of truth
that has never been voiced to us. It shows how this discovery is life saving.

In the new Disney-Pixar-movie "Elemental" it creatively shows how
through a new relationship between basic elements, never thought
possible, the main character finds her true-self.

In "Eating, the Big Picture" course we creatively go to the source in
us, to discover a truth, to make a new relationships with the elements;
food, our true-selves and others, by that we create a more flavorful life.

Many of us have been grounded, nourished and inspired by Gendlin’s prolific writings about psychotherapy and philosophy, and the links between them. But some of his ideas, especially in the philosophical realm, have been difficult for the uninitiated to fully grasp. We are fortunate now in this technological era to have at our fingertips a new, more immediate vehicle for experiencing Gendlin’s foundational ideas—one that not only conveys the power of his words, but also brings us into a lived experience of his way of being.
In this module of our “Therapeutic Us” seminar we will engage not only with Gendlin’s groundbreaking theoretical perspective and his clinical approach, but with his unique presence, which is the embodiment of his teachings. Videos of Gendlin’s talks, demos and
