Professional membersTrainee - someone currently training with a TIFI Coordinator. Details A Trainee is someone who is currently training with one of our Coordinators. TIFI maintains a global network of Coordinators who provide intensive training of leading to professional certification. You may search for a Coordinator in our online database. Certification Fee - one-time fee for certification. Details This one-time Certification Fee allows a one-time reduced fee to attend the annual Advanced and Certification Weeklong, upon recommendation from their Coordinator to receive their Certificate from The International Focusing Institute. They are able to teach Focusing to individuals or groups. If someone is looking for a teacher, they can find a Certified Focusing Professional from the on-line searchable database. Certified Focusing Professional (CFP) - also known as Trainer or Focusing-Oriented Therapist (FOT). Details These are individuals who have completed their Focusing training and are recommended by their Coordinator. In addition, they pay the one time Certification Fee, which allows a one-time reduced fee to attend the annual Advanced and Certification Weeklong. Upon recommendation from their Coordinator they receive their Certificate from The International Focusing Institute. They are able to teach Focusing to individuals or groups. Coordinator-in-Training (CNT or CiT) - already certified members who are being mentored by a Coordinator to become a Coordinator. Details CNTs (or CiTs) are individuals being mentored by a Coordinator to become a Coordinator. We recognize the substantial commitment Coordinators in Training are making by listing them as such in our Member Directory. Once they have trained a minimum of two people from the beginning all the way through certification, have a written curriculum and sent it to The International Focusing Institute and their mentor is satisfied that they are ready, the CNT/CiT is officially welcomed as a Coordinator.
Coordinator - most experienced level teacher. Details Coordinators are our most experienced teachers who have spent many years learning and teaching Focusing. They are able to train individuals from the beginning of someone's learning all of the way through Certification. They are a special group of dedicated teachers - currently 193 Coordinators from 33 countries. If someone is looking for a teacher, they can find a Coordinator from the on-line searchable database.

Affiliate membersFriend - basic affiliate membership level.
Details Friends receive member discounts when offered. Friends are not listed in the membership directory. $25 annually
Supporter - middle affiliate membership level.
DetailsThe benefits for Associate and Supporting Member categories are the same, except you will be listed differently in the Member Directory; within country, Associate Members are listed before Supporting Members. Associate and Supporting Member benefits include a printed (if requested) and e-copy of the current Member Directory. The extra $25 we receive from Associate Members is deeply appreciated and makes a difference in sustaining our work. $50 annually
Associate - highest affiliate membership level.

Proficiency as Focusing Partner (PFP) Award Fee - recommendation by a TIFI Certified Focusing Professional required.
Details The ”Proficiency as Focusing Partner” (PFP) Award can be awarded to a Focuser who has demonstrated proficiency in Focusing partnership and is a member of the Institute. Readiness for the Award is at the discretion of the Certified Focusing Professional granting the Award. $35 One time fee |
