Sometimes the most special moments are also the simplest.
Children approach Focusing instinctively, the most important thing we can provide is simply our empathetic, listening presence. It can be challenging to stand back and let the child’s process unfold on its own.

An empathy circle, practiced in a Focusing way, is a regular Focusing exchange, held by the entire group. As such, there is a Focuser, a listener, and the remaining participants act as observers/witnesses. After the Focusing, each are invited to offer an empathic reflection to the Focuser.

- Feel stuck in a difficult life situation?
- Suffer, but can't connect to the aching place inside?
- Or feel your life could be richer in ways you can't yet quite articulate?
And do you want to find your own way forward, one that feels good and that comes from you? Inner Relationship Focusing teaches us how to attend to our inner experience in ways that feel deeply satisfying and brings change.
You may be familiar with a habitual background atmosphere of restlessness, anxiousness, agitation, or something like that.
...
We can invite and gradually build new patterns in our autonomic nervous system and brain. In doing so, we change our spontaneous physical, emotional and mental responses to life’s occurrences.

Aging brings both challenges and opportunities, but it doesn’t have to feel like it’s all downhill from here. In fact, this chapter of life can be one of growth, connection, and newfound purpose.
You can develop a positive outlook on the future (and know how to be kinder to yourself when you can’t do that). Join us and get tools, wisdom, and support for every stage of the aging journey.
This workshop focusing partners, clients, and therapists of all approaches to anticipate their respective needs and create helpful non-verbal agreements ahead of, or during, a session. For instance, when someone needs extended silence for their inner process without interruption. Or when you notice activation happening and want to invite yourself or the other to slow down. Or when you need a stretch or bio break. We can find helpful ways to indicate our needs with openness and collaboration. In a spirit of experimentation, we will explore and formulate helpful gestures, signs, etc. - to convey what we are experiencing or needing during various phases of a listening process. This practice brings transparency and greater ease to the interactional space.
Focusing changes lives. We know that - that’s why we became Focusing Professionals. Keep your own practice going by connecting with other Focusing professionals to trade Focusing & Listening turns.
