Nada Lou Shares Her Experiences

Nada is a TIFI Coordinator, a long-time teacher of Focusing and Thinking at the Edge (TAE) and filmed many of Gene Gendlin's workshops, where she got to know him and his work well.  Here, Nada tells her story of bringing Focusing to Hong Kong and shares how the relationships she formed allowed it to grow and flourish.

As I sat looking at a blank document on my laptop preparing to write my thoughts on the 2023 Focusing Weeklong, I took a few moments to let the whole experience flow through me. An image of a small mountain stream came, effervescent and unbounded. The image unfolded, joining and merging with other streams, flowing together, expanding and becoming a river until it flowed into an ocean – the water that connects all our lands.

Welcome to the July Milestones!  We send out Milestones on the fourth Wednesday of each month.  We're delighted to begin with this wonderful group of new Coordinators, Coordinators-in-Training, newly certified people and those receiving the PFP award as of June 30, 2023.

First, thank you to TIFI for the privilege of attempting to pay tribute to Lucy Rietveld Bowers. Lucy contributed so much to our global Focusing community, and to each and every one she met. How can anyone possibly do justice to her? 

Lucy and I met in the Focusing Institute Summer School (FISS) of 2010. We only spent a little time together, but had several conversations thereafter, which I remember as always deep and meaningful. Lucy is known to so many people through her teaching, her writing, her innovations, her love of all things Focusing, and most of all her joyful spirit. <READ MORE>
