The Urge to Indulge = a repetitive cycle of indulging in food, drink, internet, TV, or other behaviors, followed by guilt, shame, and self-blame. That cycle springs from something deeper, a war over the control of pain and painful emotions, and the avoidance of forward-moving action.

Join us and discover how you can change repetitive behaviors without evoking shame or inner critics so you can have a more peaceful, empowered life.

The untold story relates to the story that lay beyond the words. It is the essence of the story, what we really want to convey, but often don’t quite manage to put into words, don’t quite get the listener to truly understand, to truly be with us.

In this workshop, we will create the conditions for felt conversation – the kind of conversation that enables us to connect through sensing and relating with each other. Using SOF, we will enter the inside and in-between of the storyteller and the listener, a place where the story can be held and contained, enabling deep connection and healing.

The workshop will include presentations, guided experiences, and time for practice, sharing and questions.

Live attendance is recommended. All registrants (

We're excited to announce an exciting opportunity for those who already have an established baseline knowledge of Focusing-Oriented Therapy. We are opening the doors to a few people interested in joining our current cohort.

Come January, we will begin our next module, FOT-3: Facilitating the Inner Relationship, where we begin developing the tools for companioning others in a way that supports the client to be with their experience at each stage of the focusing process. Those who complete this program are also given priority access to our second-year Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Complex Training Program.

Join us for this transformative opportunity to expand your skills and enhance your therapeutic practice. Elevate your ability to companion others

Are painful experiences from your childhood continuing to hinder you from living more fully?

For many of us, we may have grown up in environments in which we had to hush our inner knowing and what I call our knowing no as a way of keeping the peace, staying connected and out of trouble. Understandably, needing to do that over and over again may have caused us to stray farther and farther away from ourselves ... not because we wanted to but because we had to.

I get it. I know what that's like and how confusing it feels when doing what's right feels wrong; whereas, doing what's wrong feels strangely ... right, more comfortable and less risky. It's disorienting isn't it? No wonder it's hard to make decisions, choose directions

Anchors and swimmers is based on the premise that when people connect through their vulnerability, micro change happens.

No matter how oppositional our beliefs may be, when we “go underneath” we discover our innate humanness and interconnectedness. How we hold our differences may be more important than being right if we want to build vibrant communities and create peace in our world.

Anchors and Swimmers applies the Focusing attitude to create a safely anchored environment where the power and grace of receptive listening and connective reflecting deepens the conversation, shifts mindsets, offers comfort, and changes lives. Community connection heals our sense of isolation and disconnection, as well as helps heal old traumas we may carry.

This course is for those who are already certified, or who have trained in the fundamentals of focusing.

Gene was a psychotherapist and most of his focusing work was within the faster more improvisational style of therapeutic conversations.

This 1- year course teaches you how to:

- Bring the skills you have already learnt on other courses, such as resonant reflection of ‘somethings’, finding the right distance, Clearing a Space, the focusing attitude, reminders/invitation, the Critic and parts work seamlessly into a the

Integrative Focusing Therapy
The IFT training program is a two-year online training program leading to certification as a Focusing-oriented therapist (FOT). We train therapists to help clients discover their way forward through an embodied experiential process that flows naturally.

The program is built on an underlying theory of the centrality of interaction and how we integrate experience, under ideal situations as well as traumatic circumstances. It consists of four modules:
– You train in three different ways to practice Focusing-oriented therapy (FOT).
– You integrate personal and professional growth in a stimulating process group.

This program offers a lot of flexibility:
– You do not have to commit to the whole training program upfront. You can commit to one

The course will help you to use Thetaland® as an inspiration for you and the people you work with to think at the edge without getting lost. It will also provide a space for companions to enjoy and enhance creative thinking together. You will experience how to deepen your thoughts and go beyond your usual ways of thinking without being stuck by the uncertainty that comes with it.
The Thetaland® Toolbox is at the heart of the course. You will get to know its full capacity and make it your steady companion in 2024 while sticking with a topic you are currently working on.
The course starts on January 11 with introductory sessions. The early bird rate will end on December 31!

The Therapeutic Us: Working with Groups and Communities
This module of our “Therapeutic Us” seminar will broaden our concept of the “US.”
We have explored how each person has many “parts” and yet is a unique whole, as each dyad is a unique system. Now we will enter the realm of larger systems and discuss theworkings of groups and communities. We each are a kind of group, live in groups and are formed by groups. Yet, there has not been much attention to Focusing-oriented approaches to group facilitation.
