Social Oriented Focusing (SOF) is an organic, authentic, somatic way to be fully present, connected to ourselves, while interacting with others. We seek to identify the felt sense created within the mutual interaction occurring in the here and now, enabling a transformative process to take place within the mutual interpersonal space.
SOF teaches us to untie The KNOTS and NOTS that interfere with relating to others, enabling us to overcome blocks, fears, and automatic behaviors.
For therapists, coaches, and anyone interested in feeling free to be their authentic selves in their relationships. SOF Foundation Course Level 1 meets 8 times weekly for 2.5 hours. This class meets Thursdays 11:00 am – 13:30 pm ET New York time or your equivalent.

This understanding forms the foundation of focusing, which serves as a means of healing and personal growth. Focusing is a skill that anyone can acquire, allowing them to change their relationship with their inner experiences. By engaging in focusing, individuals learn to be present with themselves in a new and profound way. They come to realize that their experiences, no matter how challenging, do not define them. Rather, these experiences are merely sensations and emotions that can be acknowledged and embraced. Through focusing, individuals gain access to a deep sense of self-love and trust, cultivating
