At some time or another, all of us have been in conflict with someone that we love or that is significant in our lives. Perhaps it was a parent, a child, a partner, a friend, a colleague…whoever it was, something happened, something got in the way of the relationship.
In Social Oriented Focusing ׂׂ(SOFׁ) there is an understanding that the relationship is more important than the conflict, and from this perspective, we can use SOF tools to stop our automatic patterns of reacting and actually manage the conflict.
Thematic workshops: throughout the 4 days, a number of workshops on the theme of the inner path will be offered by various IFEF-certified trainers. They form the core of the seminar.
Introductory workshops on the practice of focusing: a “red thread” of discovery over 4 days: the stages of the focusing process, “bodily sense” and the experiential dimension, “bodily movement” and the emergence process, listening and internal location, etc...
Small groups: These are daily places of exchange, listening and sharing, where everyone meets up with the same participants in a more intimate space throughout the seminar.

Gendlin valued Clearing a Space very highly. How about you? Is Clearing a Space (CAS) a standard part of your own Focusing practice, or your teaching of Focusing? Or have you replaced it with something else – maybe an attunement? Join us to share what place CAS has in your Focusing practice – is it essential, optional, irrelevant or something else?

Smartview Conversations is a monthly online gathering to explore the application of our Focusing skills to daily life and interactions. Our skill emphasis for 2025 is being our own Self-Mentor. We will explore and build the resourcing qualities life is asking of us now.
We will model how to create a safe, playful environment that facilitates neural plasticity. These webinars are FREE to attend. Both experienced Focusers and people new to Focusing are welcome. These webinars emphasize Gendlin's action step; how is it we bring Focusing concepts into our daily living.
We meet on the 4th Tuesday, twice in the same day for different time zones. The times are 11:30am - 12:30pm ET New York time and 7:30 - 8:30pm ET New York time.
This Highlight explores what a Focusing-Oriented Coaching approach can look like. Many coaches have trained in Focusing but often struggle with therapeutic language and examples that don’t fully align with a coaching framework. By bridging this gap, the program offers a path for coaches to integrate Focusing into their practice in a way that honors both its depth and the distinct nature of coaching.
All are welcome to attend and participate, with or without prior knowledge of Gendlin’s Philosophy. No affiliation with Education or learning is needed.

Dana and Baruch in person!
2 Day residential retreat in beautiful Chelsea, Michigan, USA. The purpose of the workshop is to explore, through direct experience, the process of moving through different states of consciousness until reaching a unique state called "prayer consciousness." In this state, a shift occurs in the perception of life, giving rise to new steps into reality.
This is a series of Saturday workshops, running once a month, with virtually open intake. Only the Introduction, "The Art of Focusing" (or equivalent) must be taken as a pre-req, the remaining modules are totally flexible. Students who complete 16 specific modules, along with additional practice and supervision criteria, may become certified as a Focusing Oriented Therapist. Program completion takes about 17 -20 months.
For both philosophers, encountering Gendlin sparked a deep connection—something just "clicked." Their openness to taking a leap into philosophical practice and its underlying process philosophy allowed them to engage with his ideas in a transformative way.
This is a "pay what you can" event. It will be recorded (except small group breakout rooms) for later viewing if you cannot attend live.
