More about Vera Rolfine Fryd Lyngmo

In addition to being a Focusing Trainer and counsellor, I teach counselling and adult learning at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). I started studying A Process Model on my own in 2015, after having attended several of Gendlin's philosophy classes with Ann W. Cornell, and I've been studying with Rob since 2020. When Rob asked me if I wanted to be a TA for his TIFI reading group, I said I'd be reluctant to, because I feel like I don't understand much at all. Reassuringly, Rob appreciates that kind of approach, and it's important to me that if you sign up for my group you don't think I'm an expert. This is an attitude with which I endeavour to teach my students in university as well. My intention will be for us to together approach this complex and potentially life changing text with humility, diligent curiosity, spaciousness and mutual respect, and that instead of 'making up' our own answers to puzzlements and confusions, we try to formulate questions that you can bring back to Rob's class times. Welcome!
