I obtained a Master's degree in Educational and Child Psychology from the University of the Free State in South Africa. After moving to Canada in 1997, I registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors as well as British Columbia Association of School Psychologists. I completed the Indigenous Cultural Safety training and is a FNHA provider as well as a VCAP ( Victim Services) provider.
I worked as School Psychologist for School District #22 in Vernon for 14 years and recently retired from that position. I have also been counselling private clients in my practice since 2009. I believe that life can be experienced abundantly, in triumph and tribulation. I am passionate about walking alongside with you to restore broken relationships within yourself and with others.
I have have personal experience as well as work experience with attachment injuries, trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I use a variety of modalities tailored to your personal needs and preferences and recently obtained my qualification in Focusing- Orientated Therapy (FOT). I can guide you to explore with compassion the barriers for moving forward and how to listen to what your body is trying to communicate with you.
