I came to Focusing years ago while completing my BA in psychology, in Canada. Since then I have lived in Europe and integrated Focusing into almost all that I do. Currently I teach Focusing to psychotherapists and counsellors as well as to lawyers on a mediation training. I have completed a PhD on the experience of living in a foreign land and how it affects a person''s experience of home; again incorporating Focusing. My main interests are in existential psychotherapy, Focusing in hospitals, Focusing-oriented supervision for psychotherapists, conflict resolution, the potential for Focusing in international relations, the question of being-at-home in the world, and Focusing as a form of 'embodied democracy' and as a force for social change.
