The Gendlin Center's mission is to ensure that Gendlin is taught and studied in university settings, and that high quality research continues to build on his legacy.
To that end, we have recently compiled a list of academics who have let us know that they are teaching and/or researching Gendlin in a university setting.
In addition to this, we continue to update our list of doctoral dissertations which was compiled by Akira Ikemi, Hideo Tanaka and Kumiyo Sakai. The list includes dissertations conducted on Focusing, Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapy and Gendlin’s Philosophy as well as research studies using Focusing and its related methods, such as Thinking at the Edge (TAE) and the Experiencing Scale (EXP) in their methodologies.
We would like both of these lists to be exhaustive. If you find that your dissertation (or another dissertation you're aware of) is missing from the list, please inform us at the Gendlin Center. We will include any dissertation which directly references Gendlin's work, in any field of study and in any language.
