Where & When
This class invites participants to explore the resourcing possibilities of five movements encountered in everyday living - push, withdraw, reach, offer, and receive. Beginning with an upright spine and stable position at the center, we will familiarize ourselves with the five movements to develop a sense of possibility and flow.
The center position will serve as our home base as we invite a situation we want to work with in a Focusing way. We will explore our body position as an indicator of our inner response to the situation and ask our body what it needs to complete the action. We will then invite a posture or movement as a helpful resource for our response -- e.g. to be still and observe, prepare for an action, retreat, etc. We will slow down and allow time for fully unfolding transitions between postures and movement.
