Embark on your Community Wellness Focusing journey! Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your expertise, you'll gain the skills to build personal resilience, strengthen your professional foundation, and enhance community well-being and community care. We start this journey on March 5, 2026. This 2-year course includes: 1) psychological first aid; 2) psychosocial support; Focusing in Community; and Bringing Community Wellness back home.
This is a five-session Psychological First Aid (PFA) class for everyday people who find themselves listening to someone in distress. All of us encounter moments of crisis—not only after major events like fires or earthquakes, but also in situations that may seem ordinary: a job loss, illness, grief, or accumulated stress. In those moments, what matters most is often how we listen.
In this course, we welcome everyone, whether you are new to Focusing or already familiar with the practice. Through practice and reflection, we develop practical skills for responding to crisis with steadiness, compassion, and care—for others and for ourselves.
This course includes 8 Group Meetings, partnerships, group and individual supervision, and more!
This training provides a solid foundation of Focusing-Oriented Expressive Arts (FOAT®) with an emphasis on deepening one’s embodied knowing of the main FOAT approaches– Focusing Attitude, Theme-Directed FOAT, Clearing a Space with Arts, FOAT Check-in, Working on an Issue, Self-Focusing, and Compassionate Listening. Trainees will also expand their understanding of FOAT theories and the philosophy of Focusing. The FOAT Partnership and small group practices open the doorway to learn about others’ processes and provides a foundation for facilitation skills that are continued in Level 2.
During this Roundtable, we will explore how inspiration can gently turn into creation as we begin, or deepen, our journey of bringing Focusing to children.

This online course offers a compassionate, structured pathway for recovery from cultic relationships, high-control groups, coercive dynamics, or psychologically entrapping belief systems. Drawing on the groundbreaking work of Alexandra Stein in her book Terror, Love and Brainwashing: Attachment in Cults and Totalitarian Systems, this course explores the psychological conditions that make cults possible, and crucially, how reconnection with the authentic self is always still possible. Alongside this framework, the course introduces Focusing — a gentle, embodied practice developed by Eugene Gendlin — as a powerful tool for recovery.
