Where & When
We humans are on the verge of a new evolutionary step, according to Gendlin. From our historic roles of “fitting in” and “pouring out” we are slowly emerging like butterflies into the realm of REAL RELATING. We so need the connectedness, belonging and collaboration that this development brings and yet it can feel impossible to bridge the gaps.
In this series of modules about working with groups and communities, we are exploring how Focusing skills and ideas can point us in the direction of REAL RELATING. In this time of particular need for partnering and gathering, we want to open the mysteries of the power of groups and see how we can help them to carry forward.
The emphasis in this module will be:
Exploring how Focusing can generate new capacities for deep listening to both our unique individual selves and to the “otherness” of others.
Developing a sense of the US as it unfolds in our class/groups as we study our conversations with each other. (Each session will include a 12-minute conversation facilitated by a class member.)
Cultivating our leadership and facilitation skills while learning how to nurture the group in our own ways.
This seminar is for all those who feel a deep need for community and want to develop the ability to talk to others across difference; to unlock the mysteries of growing both the I and a sense of the US. It can be helpful for all those leading groups of all kinds: meditation, support groups, classes, organizations, etc.
