An Online Class Facilitated by Serge Prengel
Part of The Focusing Highlights Series
As a Focuser, you know how satisfying it is to truly listen and be listened to. You would love to share this gift with non-Focusers. You know how much people need it with the health crisis, the economic crisis and social distancing. But people may not have the patience for the kind of training it takes to learn Focusing.
So here is what you can do. You can very easily show people how to do Active Listening. You can do it on the phone or FaceTime, Skype, Zoom. It is a very simple format that people can easily follow.
Essentially, taking turns: one person speaks, the other listens and summarizes. Of course, it does not have all the richness of Focusing. But people get it easily, and some may be motivated to go deeper into Focusing later.
In this workshop, we will review every aspect of it: How it works, a live demo, as well as practical ideas of how you can reach out to people and share these tools with them. All are welcome, although this Highlight will be of particular interest to those interested in learning how to share their love of Focusing with non-Focusers. Some experience with Focusing will be helpful but is not required.
