Dana Ganihar and Baruch Brenner: Art of Prayer (AoP) for Focusers

Sunday, August 15, 2021
An Online Class Facilitated by Dana Ganihar and Baruch Brener

Part of The Focusing Highlights Series

Throughout his life - Gendlin, the philosopher of ‘being human’ - continuously investigated the processes that enabled life to move forward and evolve. We were excited to discover that in his last years Gendlin explored the intricate connections between humans and the larger system, a discovery that inspired our path of on-going crossing between Focusing and prayer. In this webinar we will: Explore what happens when we “Clear the space” for the word “prayer”; Become inspired by relevant texts of Gendlin's philosophy when you read them with a fresh perspective; Learn and experience the new kind of model of “Prayer for Focusers” we developed. There will also be time for questions and comments from participants. This webinar is intended for those already familiar with Focusing though all are welcome to attend.

Baruch Brener (Focusing trainer, theater director, singer, and a Rabbi.) and Dana Ganihar (Focusing coordinator who teaches Focusing and TAE in several universities and colleges in Israel) are the creators of Shakio (the Aramaic word for 'the flow of life'). Shakio creates a new syntax from three languages that seek the "more": the Jewish mysticism, the philosophy of Eugene Gendlin, and art - movement, voice and imagination.
