Meeting Format

James W. Pennebaker and his associates at the University of Texas Austin discovered that participants who wrote about their experiences and their emotions for only 10 minutes a day

  • improved their sleep,
  • enhanced their immune system,
  • decreased their anxiety
  • lowered high blood pressure and
  • improved their mood

He concluded after so many studies (with many different groups of people) that writing is a far more powerful tool for healing than anyone had ever imagined.

Write Your Soul is a 4 week online cohort that offers you an embodied process of discovering more deeply the Sound of the Genuine within.

During this Soulshop, we will participate in different writing and soul listening practices in order to overhear your heart and to sense the ways your life wants to move forward. We'll also learn to listen to what's keeping your life from moving forward. And, in one exercise, I'll have you listen for a fresh sense of the Divine and the fresh ways you're longing to connect.

Write Your Soul includes:

  • 4 online 1.5 hour Zoom classes - meeting on Wednesdays from 1-2:30 PST
  • October 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, 2023
  • Materials and templates to invite you to fresh ways of overhearing your Soul.
  • Some Guided reflections to help you listen more deeply to God, yourself and sense of purpose.

What others have said:

"When I discovered Paula was offering this course, I was immediately drawn to it. I experience Paula to be so genuine and curious and invested.  I am often on the lookout for ways to gently nudge the writer in me.

"This course was so much more than a 'writing workshop' - through Paula's guidance, I was invited into new ways of welcoming myself, my soul, my true essence. I was invited to notice, to gently hold whatever came up in the moment for me. Folding this invitation into the spiritual practice of writing offered me a fresh way to consider embodiment. I treasure the tools I was given that will keep me good company as I continue to seek after God, and to seek after my true self." ~Kathy D

"Even though I've learned Focusing, these writing exercises brought an entirely fresh way of me learning to listen to my soul and to God. I can't recommend this enough." ~Peggy B
