In this two-hour workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to practice Focusing and listening, as well as observe.
This workshop is an intimate experience with you and two other people, plus myself as the facilitator. Each person gets a 30-minute Focusing turn, a 30-minute listening turn and 30-minute observing. As the facilitator, I co-listen, deepening the experience of the Focuser while providing the listener with timely questions to ask or help with timing (example giving more time for the felt sense to unfold by not jumping in too soon).
We spend the remaining time getting to know each other, answering questions and finish with a generative group dialogue.
You will receive a handout of the 6 steps of Focusing and body cards to record your experience.
Pre-requisite: some Focusing knowledge or experience (such as the Focusing 101 Workshops I lead, attendance of a Changes Groups, have read a book about Focusing, etc.) The six-steps will not be taught in this workshop, but experienced.
Focusing Triads are held a few times per month. Next date and time options:
- Monday, June 28, 5-7 pm EDT
- Thursday, July 8, 9-11 am EDT
