Biography

I have a specific interest in focusing training and FOT with children, adolescents and caretakers. I am a psychologist, psychotherapist, focusing trainer and supervisor in a four year experiential psychotherapy training for child psychotherapists in Belgium. I work since more than 30 years in a center of mental health with children, adolescents and caretakers. In private practice I do psychotherapy, supervision and training. Together with René Veugelers, I conduct the training for Children Focusing Coach (10 day training) and Children Focusing Guide (9 day training).( See www.focusonemotion.be ) I wrote some articles about these topics and did some elementary research on focusing training with adolescents who live in foster homes. I do regularly supervisions with caretakers who work in foster homes or related fields. Last years I imply also Emotion Focused Therapy (Greenberg, Elliott, Watson) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (Mayman, Henderson).
