I am a TIFI Certifying Coordinator since 2013, teaching Focusing and Focusing Oriented Arts Therapy nationally and internationally online and in person. I have an endless curiosity and enthusiam for experimenting creatively with the multitude of Focusing approaches, methods and tools. Clients benefit from my committment to collaborative and co-creative settings both in the field of clinical and non-clinical work
In 2019 I created trauma-informed Expressive Arts Focusing ExAF, a method intergrating FOAT®, Sensorimotor Art Therapy®, Museum Arts-based Art Therapy, Person-centred Creative Arts and Focusing Plus (Focusing style of the German-Swiss Focusing Network FN).
In 2023 I designed an ExAF based practice for community-oriented Creative Compassion, presenting at the Focusing Help for Helpers Community (Lynn Preston) and at various international conferences including the 2023 FOT conference of The International Focusing Institute
Since 2014 I am engaged in the European Focusing Association EFA. I am a certifying Focusing teacher with the German Focusing Association DFG and senior teacher of the German-Swiss Focusing Network FN, having served the network from 2001 to 2023
I was introduced to Focusing in 1994 by the Swiss Institute GFK (Person-centered, Experiential and Body oriented Psychotherapy). From 1995 on I took FN Focusing Plus certifying training programs, and from the early 2000s on I took advanced trainings with international Focusing pioneers
My specialization in Existential Well-being Counseling (Mia Leijssen, KU Leuven/BEL), Focusing with the Whole Body (Astrid Schillings/GER) and Focusing Oriented Expressive Arts FOAT® (Laury Rappaport, US) took my teachings to a new level
The FOAT® training with Dr. Laury Rappaport forwarded my interest in Focusing with the Arts profoundly. In 2022 I got my Diploma of Advanced Studies DAS in art therapy from the Catholic University of Applied Sciences KU Freiburg (thesis on: The Experiential Third: Focusing Concepts for Art Therapy). From 2022 to 2024 I held a guest lectureship at KU Freiburg, in 2025 I applied for upgrading my DAS to MA. This MA project supplementing my prior degrees in Clinical Psychology and Adult Education (Pre-Bologna masters), will hopefully redefine museum arts-based concepts for Existential Health from First Person Science perspective
I am member of the International Association of Focusing Oriented Therapists IAFOTs, member of the British Focusing Association BFA, member of the European Network for Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counselling PCE, professional member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Associtation IEATA and practitioner member of the Association for Person-centred Creative Arts APCCA
