Maaike Afschrift is a clinical psychologist and client-centered and Focusing-oriented psychotherapist, supervisor and Trainer, and is an editor at Tijdschrift Persoonsgerichte Experiëntiële Psychotherapie. She teaches Focusing and FOT and loves to think and write from and about experiential processes. In this, she has been profoundly enriched by Gendlin’s philosophy, which she finds aligned with her fundamental ecological view of life, and she aspires to make this wisdom accessible to others as well.

José Ignacio Salazar holds a master’s degree in psychology, specializing in systemic constructivist psychotherapy and Focusing-oriented psychotherapy. He is a certified Cognitively-Based Compassion Training (CBCT) instructor through Emory University, USA. As an adjunct professor and member of the existential-humanistic psychology team at the University of Chile, he provides clinical psychology training and supervision for undergraduate and graduate students. His professional interests encompass experiential psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic change processes, language and dialogic approaches to conflict resolution, and the integration of mindfulness and compassion in mental health.
