Among the many joys of the season is the fact that Gene Gendlin was born on December 25 in 1926!
The International Focusing Institute, which he founded, is proud to maintain and preserve Gene’s legacy by carrying forward his work. We do this through our many programs on Focusing, Focusing-Oriented therapy, Thinking at the Edge and the study of his philosophical writings. We further research through the Gendlin Research Center and we ensure that his work remains available through the Gendlin Online Library.
In June, hundreds of us will gather for a conference, "Sensing Forward" to honor what would have been his 100th year, in the city of his birth. The conference is full, but in response to the great interest in it, we are planning to offer livestreaming and recordeds of some sessions that will be offered in Vienna. Please watch for information in the new year.
