Even if you aren't planning to attend the Advanced and Certification Weeklong, the permanent page on our website has great information about the development of this key event in the life of The International Focusing Institute. The Weeklong event was the pre-cursor to the Institute. On the Weeklong page at focusing.org/weeklong, you'll find lots of history including a delightful video of Mary McGuire, Doralee Grindler Katonah, Jim Iberg, Bala Jaison and Ann Weiser Cornell, each of whom had an important role to play in the development of this flagship event.

Beginning last year, the certification ceremony which was always part of the Weeklong (and only open to those who attended the Weeklong) has evolved in a way that makes it more accessible to all.  Now, we have expanded it into the Honoring Milestones online ceremony, where we not only celebrate the many wonderful people worldwide who have received certification, but we also celebrate new Coordinators as well as remembering Coordinators who have passed away.  The next Honoring Milestones celebration takes place on Friday, October 11, 2024 and all members of The International Focusing Institute are encouraged to attend.  You can learn more and sign up for that at this link.

So please explore focusing.org/weeklong to learn more about key moments and people in the evolution of Focusing.
