Scholarships for Vienna 2026
Our policies aim to ensure fair access and transparency in how scholarship funds are allocated.
Funds are limited, and scholarships will only cover the conference registration fee.
DEADLINE FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
The deadline for applications is October 31st. (If funds remain after this date, new applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis). If you are applying for a scholarship, please first register for the conference and select the option “Pay later (requesting scholarship).” If you do not register in this way, it is possible that registration may fill up.
We will notify you by the end of November whether or not you have been awarded a scholarship.
SELECTION PRIORITIES
The Vienna 2026 Sensing Forward Scholarships honor Eugene Gendlin’s legacy by promoting inclusion, accessibility, and diversity. In line with The International Focusing Institute’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion statement, priority will be given to:
- Young People: applicants under 30 years old
- Ethnic and Racial Diversity: applicants from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds
- Geographic Distance and Underrepresented Regions: applicants traveling from distant or underrepresented regions
- Financial Need: applicants with financial need
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Applicants will be reviewed using the following criteria:
- Alignment with the priorities listed above
- Strength of motivation and personal statement
- Potential contribution to the diversity and spirit of the Vienna 2026 Sensing Forward Conference
- Previous experience or connection with the Focusing community
