What would happen if we shift the term “body” from a noun to a verb? When sensed as a verb, Focusing shifts to what the body is doing, what is showing, and how we can invite our living energy to body itself, to play itself out.

The new Focusing of bodying invites us to recover the fullness of our natal spirit: a sense of unconditioned, alive being. Whatever emerges to awareness can allow our whole body to be that quality and play out from its own energy. In this active model, we bring more to life and to light as it unfolds in real time. Glenn will present the phenomenological basis of bodying forth and playing out, and how it carries further Gendlin’s theoretical model in practice. He will share examples from his personal experience, therapy work and teaching/training.

During this webinar, participants will be guided through two Focusing processes: bodying and letting play out a habitual pattern or practice, while drawing out the latent life energy within it; and exploring a new quality of living that allows us to recover a felt sensing of spirit. There will also be demonstrations and time for group sharing and questions.

This Highlight is open for anyone regardless of level of training and experience. Some familiarity with Focusing may be helpful but is not required.

*Please also check out the online interactive workshop being offered by Glenn this Summer. It is called “The New Focusing of Bodying: Recovering Your Spirit of Play” and will be in a small group meeting format. Registering for both the Highlight and the workshop is encouraged, though each class offers benefit when taken separately. (Class size is limited for the workshop.)

The video link will be to an easy to use website called Zoom. In this webinar format, you will see
the teachers and host, but you will not be seen. You will be able to ask questions during the
webinar by typing them.

You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred. All registered participants will be sent a link to the video recording approximately two weeks following the course. So if you are unable to attend in person, you will still be able to view the class.
