What is Focusing?
What is Focusing-Oriented Therapy (FOT)?
Are they the same?
If not, how do they differ?
When are they similar?
Each has superpowers the other does not.
Perhaps it is in the context they are used each shine?

Jeffrey will share his thoughts while inviting participants to sense into what comes for them as the presentation unfolds. Using Gendlin quotes and years of practicing both, he will offer an engaging exploration of the complexity of the question itself. Gendlin wrote an entire book on Focusing-Oriented Therapy and never really defines FOT. Gendlin described felt sensing, attitudes towards the felt sense and another person, yet leaves open the question of what Focusing becomes in the context of FOT. On the other hand, what can Focusing offer that FOT may not? Is it a more open process on its own? If so, how?

This presentation is open to anyone interested in learning more about Focusing and Focusing-Oriented Therapy.

Format
We use Zoom videoconferencing for our online classes. The session will be held in meeting format so that all participants can see the presenters and each other. You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred as participation in breakout rooms will be limited.

All registrants (whether or not you attend live) can view the recording for one month. Breakout rooms are not recorded.
