It isn’t for lack of trying. To cope with our eating patterns, we might have tried lifestyle changes like diet and exercise, emotional support through support groups or self-help books, or pure self-control. There is so much out there promising to help, but we still have this issue with food.

It seems that many solutions miss something. We are living organisms. In every emotional eating experience there is an elusive desire for life. What your body knows about food can surprisingly change your life. But how can it tell us?

In this experiential class we will learn ways to get to know and cultivate this live knowing, using Gendlin's philosophy.
Bio:

Matanel Weissmann is the founder and manager of the Beersheba Focusing Center, developer of the Re-Focusing-Eating method, and guides workshops about Focusing and emotional eating in Tel-Aviv and Beersheba, Israel. Studying and practicing Focusing and its philosophy for over a decade, Matanel also studied Western philosophy at Ben Gurion University and is leading a research project on emotional eating. Previously a personal trainer, he has been a Focusing Trainer and therapist since 2013, and lives in Beersheba, Israel.
