Imagine being trapped in an elevator with a stranger. Now, remember what it feels like when you try to meditate, trapped with yourself in silent stillness.

If you are not accustomed to being with yourself, it feels awkward when you force yourself to do so. There is even more of a sense of pressure if you expect meditation to bring you to a calm and serene state.

So, forget about what you know, or think you know, about meditation. In this workshop, you are invited to think of it as a mindful pause. That is, a moment to be with yourself.

Expect the discomfort that comes with being trapped with yourself when you are not accustomed to it. You will not be alone with it, as the workshop includes sharing what it feels like.

This 55-minute online workshop will help you change how you approach meditation, with simple instructions, a meditative practice, and sharing.

The workshop's leader, Serge Prengel, is a therapist, the creator of Active Pause, and the author of Bedtime Stories For Your Inner Child.
