The Felt Sense Polyvagal Model™ (FSPM) integrates Eugene Gendlin’s philosophy of the implicit and the practice of Focusing with Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory, offering an embodied, trauma-informed approach to healing trauma and addiction. Developed over forty-five years of clinical practice, FSPM reframes symptoms not as pathology but as adaptive survival responses shaped by the nervous system.
Participants will explore how the felt sense and autonomic nervous system work together in the process of therapeutic change. The workshop introduces the seven autonomic states of the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model and demonstrates how tracking neuroception alongside interoception deepens Focusing practice, particularly with trauma, dissociation, and addictive behaviors.
Through experiential exercises, case examples, and video demonstrations, participants will learn Polyvagal-Informed Focusing, a structured process that helps clients safely access the felt sense while expanding nervous system regulation. The workshop also introduces practical clinical tools, including the Embodied Assessment and Treatment Tool™ (EATT™) and the Four-Circle Harm Reduction Practice™, illustrating how the wisdom of the body can guide lasting healing, integration and transformation.

Format
We use Zoom videoconferencing for our online classes. The session will be held in meeting format so that all participants can see the presenters and each other. You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred as participation in breakout rooms will be limited.
All registrants (whether or not you attend live) can view the recording for one month. Breakout rooms are not recorded.
