Every meeting has a felt sense. What happens when we learn to listen to it together?
This experiential workshop introduces Social Oriented Focusing (SOF) and invites Focusers to gently expand from the individual felt sense into the shared felt sense of the relational field. In this field, there is space for embodied awareness, relational presence, and the gentle capacity to notice where and how we are. It is where profound relatedness and new steps can emerge. It is where we meet from the inside out.
Social Oriented Focusing (SOF) is an embodied, somatic-relational practice embracing the living felt sense of how we are within ourselves and how we are with others when we meet. It understands presence as a living movement between self and other, between simultaneously listening inwards and outwards, between seeing and being seen. With SOF, we move into the living, co-created field of the present moment, where new life unfolds.
All are welcome to attend. Familiarity with Focusing will be helpful.
Format
We use Zoom videoconferencing for our online classes. The session will be held in meeting format so that all participants can see the presenters and each other. You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred as participation in breakout rooms will be limited.
All registrants (whether or not you attend live) can view the recording for one month. Breakout rooms are not recorded.
Bio
Yehudit First is an experienced Body Psychotherapist, Focusing Coordinator, group facilitator, and the developer of Social Oriented Focusing (SOF). Her work explores how the depth of individual Focusing naturally expands into the interpersonal and collective field.
Through years of teaching and practice, Yehudit became deeply interested in what emerges between people when presence is met with presence. SOF grew from this inquiry as an embodied, relational extension of Focusing, supporting participants in sensing forward together while remaining rooted in their individuality.
She offers experiential, resonant learning spaces that invite empathy, dialogue, and the co-creation of meaning, in service of nurturing human connection.

Refunds: A full refund minus a $25 administrative fee for cancellations 14 days before the start date. Cancellations less than 14 days before the start date are nonrefundable. The International Focusing Institute reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule for insufficient enrollment or for other unanticipated reasons. In such cases you will be given a choice of applying your tuition to future programs, or having the full enrollment fee returned to you.
TIFI reserves the right to cancel, change and alter the program if necessary. The opinions offered by presenters and participants are their own and do not necessarily represent the opinions of TIFI. Participants authorize TIFI to use their name, statements and likeness without charge, for promotional purposes in publications, advertising, video, web, new media, or other formats.
