A Simple Way to Share the Spirit of Focusing with Non-Focusers

Registration is closed for this event
Focusing Highlights is a series of interactive, online pay-what-you-can classes. In this class, Serge will share how Active Listening works and how you can very easily share it with others online. There will be a demonstration as well as practical ideas of how to apply this skill, especially during this time of widespread social distancing.

Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Eastern time

Times worldwide: Click this link for your time.
Registration closes Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 am Eastern Time

(class will be recorded for participants; no special computer skill or equipment required)

As a Focuser, you know how satisfying it is to truly listen and be listened to. You would love to share this gift with non-Focusers. You know how much people need it with the health crisis, the economic crisis and social distancing. But people may not have the patience for the kind of training it takes to learn Focusing.

So here is what you can do. You can very easily show people how to do Active Listening. You can do it on the phone or FaceTime, Skype, Zoom. It is a very simple format that people can easily follow. Essentially, taking turns: one person speaks, the other listens and summarizes. Of course, it does not have all the richness of Focusing. But people get it easily, and some may be motivated to go deeper into Focusing later.

In this workshop, we will review every aspect of it: How it works, a live demo, as well as practical ideas of how you can reach out to people and share these tools with them.

All are welcome, although this Highlight will be of particular interest to those interested in learning how to share their love of Focusing with non-Focusers. Some experience with Focusing will be helpful but is not required.

We use Zoom videoconferencing for our online classes. In this webinar format, you will see the teacher and host, but you will not be seen. You will be able to ask questions during the webinar by typing them.

You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred. All registered participants will be sent a link to the video recording approximately two weeks following the course. So if you are unable to attend in person, you will still be able to view the class.
