Healing the Untold Story

The untold story relates to the story that lay beyond the words. It is the essence of the story, what we really want to convey, but often don’t quite manage to put into words, don’t quite get the listener to truly understand, to truly be with us. In this workshop, we will create the conditions for felt conversation – the kind of conversation that enables us to connect through sensing and relating with each other. Using SOF, we will enter the inside and in-between of the storyteller and the listener, a place where the story can be held and contained, enabling deep connection and healing. The workshop will include presentations, guided experiences, and time for practice, sharing and questions. Live attendance is recommended. All registrants (whether or not you attend live) will receive an email to view the recording after the workshop. The recording will be available for one month after the workshop concludes. Breakout rooms are not recorded. Some familiarity with Focusing will be helpful, though all are welcome to attend.

Description

Using Social Oriented Focusing (SOF), we will enter the inside and in-between of the storyteller and the listener, a place where the story can be held and contained, enabling deep connection and healing. 

The workshop will include presentations, guided experiences, and time for practice, sharing and questions.

Some familiarity with Focusing will be helpful, though all are welcome to attend.

Format
We use Zoom videoconferencing for our online classes. The session will be held in meeting format so that all participants can see the presenters and each other. You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred as participation in breakout rooms will be limited.

All registrants (whether or not you attend live) can view the recording for one month. Breakout rooms are not recorded.

Bio
Yehudit First is a qualified Body Psychotherapist and Group Facilitator specializing in Somatic Experiencing. Recently qualified as a Focusing Coordinator, Yehudit is an experienced Focusing therapist for individuals and couples, a dedicated teacher and practitioner. Several years ago, the desire to expand the Focusing space to include interpersonal interaction led Yehudit to develop Social Oriented Focusing (SOF). In a gentle Focusing environment, SOF opens a ‘playground’ where delicate issues of human relationships can be met while really meeting each other. Yehudit teaches SOF all over the globe, and uses it to facilitate individual, group and couple therapy processes in her clinic and via Zoom.

Each workshop will stand alone and can be registered for individually. When registration for the next workshops is open it will be added here.
