Trainer Biography
Angie Hensley, PhD, LMFT, is the Program Chair of the Counseling Psychology department at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and Tennessee, specializing in somatic and eco-approaches to psychotherapy, clinical supervision, pedagogy, research, community building, and social change. Dr. Hensley lives at Terre Madre Retreat, on the original homelands of the ᏣᎳᎫᏪᏘᏱ Tsalaguwetiyi (Cherokee, East) people, stewarding 20 acres of land and hosting circles, workshops, and retreats. She believes in the power of circle-based, participatory, and empowered learning spaces. She facilitates deep academic inquiry that engages bodily knowing, heart, the natural world, expressive arts, dreams, and ritual. As a somatic and nature-based psychotherapist, she is interested in researching mind-body-spirit approaches to wellness and using the felt sense in research methodology.
Dr. Hensley is a certified Focusing-Oriented Therapist and Certifying Coordinator in training with the International Focusing Institute. Her Coordinating Mentors are Doralee Grindler-Katonah, M.Div, PsyD, Jan Winhall, MSW and Glenn Fleisch, PhD, LMFT.

Cost: $3,000 for entire two year training including three in person retreats.
