The patterns and habits we perceive as "bad," "wrong" or “in the way” are often healthy responses to an unhealthy environment or traumatic experience(s). They’re not random — and you’re not flawed.
And while those strategies may have kept us safe, they often came at a cost. We weren’t given the space and support to:
- Learn how to be with BIG feelings
- Exercise agency
- Value our inner knowing
- Act from a sense of choice
- Savor and celebrate pleasant experiences … and more!
These are skills we have to learn, so we can live more fully and authentically.
