An online interactive workshop with Dana Ganihar and Baruch Brenner

  • Registration closes Tuesday, September 20 at 10:00am New York time.
  • The class will be recorded and the recording will be sent approximately two weeks after the class to all registrants. Recording will include Dana and Baruch's presentation and group questions and discussion.
  • Attending the workshop live is encouraged to experience the exercises in breakout rooms. Breakout rooms are not recorded.

For us prayer is being responsive to the unfolding of the felt-sense
as a Carrying Forward of the Larger System.

The Art of Prayer (AoP) is a regenerative learning approach exploring a core component of our shared human existence - our natural capacity for prayer. It is a framework of practices, in which people from all walks of life and traditions, religious and secular, prayers and non-prayers - are invited to reconnect and rediscover gateways into the field of prayer.

The practice of AoP forms a complementary aspect of POF - Prayer Oriented Focusing - in which Focusing practices are integrated into an embodied, living model for existence.

In this workshop we will:

  • Introduce the approach as developed in Shakio Institute
  • Practice movements of AoP
  • Open space for questions and discussion
  • Share details concerning upcoming learning opportunities

All are welcome to attend. No previous experience with Focusing is required. Attending the workshop live is encouraged as there will be exercises in breakout rooms. All registrants will receive a link to view the recording afterwards (breakout rooms are not recorded).

Format

We use Zoom videoconferencing for our online classes. The class will be held in meeting format so that all participants can see the presenter and each other. You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred as participation in breakout rooms will be limited.
