Find a Focusing Professional - Claire Schenk

I learnt Focusing in the early 1990s and practiced regularly in exchange groups for 15 years. I also attended many additional workshops with Ann Weiser Cornell and Barbara McGavin in the UK and Germany, including Treasure Maps To The Soul. I participated in several International Conferences and The Childrens' Focusing Confrence in Hungary in 2000. I've experienced many branches of Focusing including Whole Body, Thinking at the Edge, and Sandtray. I resonated deepest with Inner Relationship Focusing and decided to train to become a Certified Focusing Professional in 2000, and Babara MaGavin was my mentor. I was also supported by Fiona Parr. At the same time I became an accredited Focusing Teacher with BFTA. At present I am specialising in offering individual sessions in the unique, alchemical experience of Focusing and Sandtray. Alongside this I am studying an MA in Play Therapy and have recently completed the Post Graduate Therapeutic Play Specialist section of this.
