Originally trained as an acupuncturist, I was always interested in the body/mind/spirit interface. I became a Certified Focusing Professional in 2000. Since immersing myself in Gendlin's Philosophy of the Implicit, I see that felt sensing allows us to recognize ourselves as part of the natural order, ending the split between science and spirituality, objectivity and inner knowing. Felt sensing helps us enter into dialog with anything we wish to think about or explore.
Thinking at the Edge allows Focusers to explore a vision, a goal, a creative endeavor, or a stressful problem, by felt sensing with it over a period of time. It gives me joy to accompany people in this invigorating process, in Spanish or English.
Focusing can also enhance a theoretical framework, like Nonviolent Communication, enabling closer attention to the felt sense, allowing for more relevance to each individual, making for more effective, mutually productive and far reaching solutions. I love sharing this process in English and Spanish in my online classes called Generating a Culture of Peace
