My training has been humanistic/person centered and I work as a counsellor in private practice not far from London in Chalfont St Peter. I work with individuals, couples and families. I use focusing frequently in my work and my experience is that it helps clients towards a more authentic and direct experience of themselves and their life situation. This is empowering and can be liberating. Focusing is part of how I view ''the world'', experience myself and interact with others and it infuses my approach to therapy on so may different levels. The actual process of focusing may be fairly specific, identifiable and teachable, but the underlying assumptions are more complex and (w)holistic and affect you more profoundly and completely. The way I teach focusing is personal to me and has to do with living life more fully and more authentically.
