Biography

Dr. Grace Brillantes-Evangelista is a Clinical Psychologist, a Professor, clinical supervisor, consultant, trainer, and a workshop facilitator from the Philippines. She is a Certified Focusing-Oriented Expressive Arts (FOAT ®) Practitioner/Facilitator by the Focusing and Expressive Arts Institute with Dr. Laury Rappaport based in Santa Rosa, California through distance education (with in-residence training). She is currently in training to become a certified FOAT® trainer in the same institute. She finished her BA Social Sciences: Behavioral Studies (magna cum laude) from University of the Philippines-Manila. She earned her MA Psychology and PhD Clinical Psychology (minor in Developmental Psychology) from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She the Executive Director of the Integrative Lifestyle And Well-being Center at Miriam College, where they provide programs and services for holistic health and well-being, including mental heath care.  She also served as chair of the Department of Psychology for 6 years in the same institution, where she also teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She is a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA). She also finished her 4-year term as the Chair of the Clinical Psychology Division of the Psychological Association of the Philippines.
