Class will be recorded for all registrants and available for viewing for one month.
What are the core concepts that define Focusing-Oriented Therapy (FOT) and how do they orient us in treating trauma? Trauma therapist and FOT trainer Jeffrey Morrison will share his understanding and experience from four decades of practice. He will outline five key concepts that form a foundation for FOT practice and share how he uses them in his work with clients.
Jeffrey recently finished co-writing a chapter for a book on experiential therapies for treating trauma. The writing experience challenged him to present the experiential process of FOT in a clear and concise manner. The result is a detailed and multifaceted description of FOT and its application to working with trauma.
This webinar is ideal for therapists while open to everyone who wants to better understand FOT, how it can unwind trauma, and restore wholeness. A PowerPoint presentation guides the journey and will be available to registrant’s following the talk.
We use Zoom videoconferencing for our online classes. In this webinar format, you will see the presenter and host, but you will not be seen. You will be able to ask questions during the webinar by typing them. Highlights presenters may at times invite a small number of participants to unmute or join them onscreen during the webinar (optional).
You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred. All registered participants will be sent a link to the video recording approximately two weeks following the class. So if you are unable to attend the live webinar, you will still be able to view it for one month.
