An online, interactive workshop facilitated by Serge Prengel. This offering will be held in meeting format so that all participants will see the presenter and each other.
Registration closes Friday, October 9 at 3:00pm Eastern time.
Some might fear that "depolarizing" could make one lose their moral clarity, their passion, and their power of conviction. However, being less polarized can, in fact, give us more clarity, and make us more effective.
This experiential workshop is based on a structured process, the Experiential Democracy Dialogue, developed by Kirk Schneider, author of The Depolarizing of America. Serge has adapted this process so that it can work at a deeper level with Focusers.
In this 2-hour workshop, you will be immersed in an experiential process. Most of it will take place in breakout rooms, in Focusing partnerships. Before each phase of the process, instructions will be given to the group as a whole. After the process is completed, we will all come back together for a group discussion.
Attending in person is encouraged as there will be the opportunity to practice in pairs via breakout rooms and to ask questions during the workshop. All registrants will receive a link to the recording (breakout rooms are not recorded).
The video link is an easy to use format called Zoom. You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred. The class will be held in meeting format so that all participants will see the presenter and each other. (There is an option to turn off your video if you prefer and technical instructions will be given at the class start).
