All of the focusing teachers in our database are certified by The Focusing Institute. All focusing teachers are encouraged to develop their own style of teaching and we hope you will eventually learn from more than one teacher. If you have trouble finding a teacher, please call or email the Focusing Institute and we will try to help you. Not all of our teachers are on this listing. Also, if you can organize eight or ten people for a weekend workshop, we may be able to send a teacher to your location.

Many of our Focusing Trainers are also Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapists. If you want a therapist, it is up to you to determine credentials and whether the person is appropriate for you. We do not give any kind of license to practice psychotherapy. We purposefully do not require Focusing Trainers to be therapists. Focusing is a human process accessible to anyone. It has been applied in many fields. People from many walks of life become Focusing Trainers.
